Cisco has been modeling for the past 12 years and worked for the likes of French Vogue, Roberto Cavalli, H&M, Hugo Boss, Garner and Dolce & Gabbana. We caught up with the long limbed, down-to-earth stunner to take some snaps in some of our favourite summer pieces. Cisco took some time whilst in Australia to chat to us about modeling, staying healthy and happy, her dream job and how she stays in shape!

What do you love most about modeling?
I always wanted to be an actress growing up. I love that the moment i arrive on set, I get to slip into another role for the day. I guess it’s a lot like acting in a way. I never get bored.

What would be your dream job?
My dream job is hard to describe in one world. I think its more so a feeling. It’s to be happy and fulfilled in what I do and working on many different projects and being able to express my creativity and always being challenged in new ways. I am pretty happy where I am right now.

If you could do a shoot anywhere, with any international photographer for any brand what would it be?
I would love to do an underwater shoot with whale sharks with my buddy Kate Bellm for national geographic or something. I love her underwater series. The underwater sea world is fascinating to me.

You have made the move to live in Bali with your beautiful husband, what’s it like living over there?
Making the move to Bali was defiantly one of the best decisions we have ever made. Life over there is what you want it to be. For us it’s paradise. We were living in New York before and decided it was time for us to slow down and enjoy simple & relaxed island life. We love waking up, going for a surf, walk our dogs and be creative at home, cook some yummy fresh food and be surrounded by all the beautiful smiles from the locals. Bali has got some special magic about it and we are so grateful to be able to live there so happily, in tune with nature and welcomed by the locals.

If you weren’t modeling what would you be doing?
I would be doing what I’m already doing. Working on different projects that inspire and challenge me. We built our island home in Bali called RedDoor that is also available for rent. At the moment we are building an Island Stay with a café/art gallery attached. We have asked some of our artist friends to submit some of their favorite pieces. The collection is exciting and growing. There will be pieces from Chris Searl, Kate Bellm, Rostarr, Oscar wright, Bast, Mike Piscitelli just to name a few. I’ll be in charge of the menu which I am super excited about because I get to experiment and put into action everything I have learnt over the past few years. I’m a secret fermentation freak. I just graduated and have now started working as a Health Coach. I am specializing myself in the field of working with other Models which has been an amazing journey so far.

Tell us a bit about your new project, health coaching.
As I mentioned above I just finished my studies with IIN (institute of integrative nutrition) in new york. I actually heard about this online course through a friend of mine and knew this was the missing link I have been looking for. A health coach is someone that supports clients in making nutrition & lifestyle changes to improve their health sort of like a personal trainer for physical fitness. I am currently working on my blog called Cisco&theSun where I will be explaining a bit more in detail what health coaching is about and what exactly I’m doing. So stay tuned if you’re interested.

How did you get into modeling?
When I was 16, a buddy of mine introduced me to his agency in Munich. I got signed that day and started testing the next. From there everything got exciting really fast and I started traveling the world constantly.

What has been your favourite job so far?
Shooting for French Vogue with David Bellemere

If you could tell your younger self a piece of advice – what would it be?
Be in the moment as best as you can because this is the only way infinite possibilities open up to us. When I worry to much about the past or the future I miss the moment, so that is what I’m currently working on.

How do you stay in shape?
I eat mainly plant based and drink lots of fresh spring water. I move my body every day in some sort of form. I love yoga, pilates, surfing and aerobic gym classes. I try to continuously mix it up so I don't get bored.

Favourite exercise?

Secret cheat food?
Tahini on everything

Where would someone find you on a Friday night?
Most likely in my kitchen cooking up a big dinner for friends, followed by a nice glass of Japanese whiskey with fun stories lots of jokes and laughter.

Talk us through your beauty regime…
Eating for beauty is a big part of what I am focusing right now and ill be explaining it in more detail on my blog that’s launching soon.

My theory is to shine from the inside out so I take care of what I’m putting into my body.

I start my day with a big glass of water right after I wake up. I make my way into the kitchen and have warm water with lemon and some grated ginger and fresh turmeric. After that I will have some sort of green smoothie where I add in either some Spirulina (great source of plant protein) or Chlorella, which are essential for great skin. Especially Chlorella helps to detoxify our body and helps to clear up skin impurities. I’m a big believer in green powders as they are so high in chlorophyll almost like liquid sunshine.

In general I don't wear a lot of makeup but always wash it off when I do. To wash my face I use a organic enzyme cleanser (by Synthesis). I moisturize with a water based Collagen plus crème By (Dr Spiller). Followed by organic Vitamin C serum (by Synthesis) that helps to lighten pigmentation spots.

From being in the ocean a lot my hair tends to dry out so I like to rub some coconut oil in the ends. For dry lips I use the beauty fix balm (by the beauty chef)

Finish this sentence.

I can't live without… coconut water & my dog Noizy.

I can’t stop listening to… Reverberation Radio.

My favorite person in the world is… my husband George.

I will never forget… when I was riding a motorbike on the bottom of the ocean with scuba gear for a photo-shoot.

Summer is all about… letting it all hang out.
